Cold pressed juices

What is a cold pressed juice?

Cold pressed juices are juices produced using hydraulic pressure in a temperature controlled environment. During this process, there is no heat generated, no high RPM friction or static electricity and therefore, no oxidation of the juice. It also means that the cellular structure of the raw fruits and vegetables remains undamaged and their nutrients remain remarkably live and intact. It is thus able to extract and preserve maximal amounts of vitamins, minerals, enzymes, phytonutrients & other vital elements compared to other methods of juicing. You are in turn able to get:-

  • 100% natural juice which remains fresh for 3 days
  • More nutrients per bottle of juice
  • More flavour and taste in every bottle
How are Sattwa juices different from the tetra pack juices available in the market?

Most of the tetra pack juices available in the market are "fruit based beverages" containing only 8-20% actual juice content. These juices contain a long list of artificial ingredients which should ideally have nothing to do with juices- fruit concentrate, water, added sugar, stabilizers, preservatives, taste enhancers and food dyes (artificial and natural colorings). Some brands also add synthetic fiber to give it a natural texture. Even the 100% juice that you typically buy on the supermarket shelves are produced by a centrifugal extraction process or by pulping and boiling. This heating treatment has been shown to destroy a lot of the nutritional value of the ingredients along with the naturally occurring enzymes and phytonutrients in the fruits. You will be drinking a juice which was pulped months (if not years) ago, all life and active enzymes having long gone from it along with a lot of its goodness.

On the other hand, Sattwa cold pressed juices are 100% natural with no additives and pressed Fresh for you in the wee hours of the morning they are delivered at your doorstep.

How is it different from HPP or cold-pressured juices?

Some cold-pressed juice brands further process their juices using a "cold-pressure" technology called HPP (High Pressure Pasteurization) to increase the shelf life of their products.

Similar to standard pasteurization methods that use heat, HPP neutralizes molecules that cause juices to spoil faster. HPP neutralizes the benefits of some of the live enzymes, probiotics, vitamins, proteins, and nutrients that would otherwise be retained in raw and unpasteurized juice. While this allows HPP-treated juice to last up to 45 days, it off-course reduces the goodness level of its juices significantly.

Sattwa cold pressed juices do not use any high pressure and are delivered to you raw, just like juices should be!

Is this same as home juicing?

Actually it is a bit different. We use a hydraulic cold press to produce the juices. The produce is first cut or grinded and then subjected to thousands of pounds of pressure to extract the maximum nutrients out of the produce and create a pulp-free clear juice.

On the other hand, home juicers are traditionally centrifugal which means that there is a high speed spin used and a significant heat generated, both of which result in nutrient and enzyme loss from the juices. It also ends up leaving a significant amount of pulp in the juices.

Subscription

What if I do not consume all my 30 units (e.g., juice bottles) in a month

If you have skipped a day or paused your subscription, using the features on the website or by intimating our customer care, your subscription period will be extended accordingly to account for the missed days. You will still get all the subscribed units (bottles) you have paid for in a longer duration.

However it is important that you intimate us when you want to skip or pause. Without any intimation, our delivery team will still make the delivery and the delivery will be subtracted from your subscription.

I don't like the flavor that is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow. How do I change that?

We have a selection of "Available daily" flavours also available. If you do not like a particular flavour from our "Weekly menu", you could simply "Swap" your menu flavour with a flavour available every day. If you do this, you would get the flavour you selected as part of your delivery instead of the flavour from the weekly menu.

In order to make a "Swap", just log in to your account on the Sattwa website, go to the "Manage Subscriptions" tab and click on the "Swap next delivery flavour" button. You would be shown a list of flavours available for swap.

You could also tick the option to automatically make this swap every time this flavour is scheduled for entire subscription. Alternately, just reach out to our customer care at managesubscription@sattwa.in or message us at +91-9717098516 along with your name, phone number and subscription number and we will make the change for you.

Can I set which flavour I want for my full subscription period ?

In order to look at the menu for your full subscription period, just log in to your account on the Sattwa website, go to the "Manage Subscriptions" tab and click on the "View full schedule" button. You will see the list of all the flavours available on each day for your subscription period. The flavour highlighted in green is the flavour scheduled for your delivery right now. You can select any of the other flavours available on that day to change the scheduled delivery to you.

I don't want to have the delivery tomorrow. How do I skip it?

In order to make a "Skip" a delivery, just log in to your account on the Sattwa website, go to the "Manage Subscriptions" tab and click on the "Skip next delivery" button. If you want to pause the delivery for more than 1 day, select the "Pause deliveries" button.

I am going on a vacation. How do I stop my subscription for some time?

If you want your deliveries to stop for a bit you can use our "Pause the delivery" option.

Simply log in to your account on the Sattwa website, go to the "Manage Subscriptions" tab and click on the "Pause deliveries" button. You can select the start and end date of the pause (both dates included) from the dialogue box.

I want to get more than one quantity (bottle) delivered on a specific date? How do I do that?

Log in to your account on the Sattwa website, go to the "Manage Subscription" tab and click on the "Add extra" button. You will see a dialogue box where under the "New Addons" section, you can first select the date on which you want to add to the delivery and subsequently select the extra quantity and flavour you want. Please note that the quantity being specified is in addition to the regular quantity anyways scheduled to be delivered on the day. If you want to later remove any such extra quantity that has been added simply click on the "Add extra" button again and the go to the "View Addons" section in the dialogue box. Here you can modify any additions you may have done before.

I have one quantity (say a bottle of juice) being delivered to me daily. If I want a second one (bottle) to be added daily, how do I do that?

Log into your account on the Sattwa website and buy another subscription online. This would ensure you get an extra quantity (bottle) daily at your home.

Alternately if you just want an extra quantity (bottle) for a couple of days you could "Add" to you delivery as explained in the FAQ on "I want to get more than one quantity (bottle) delivered on a specific date? How do I do that?"

How do I change my delivery address?

To change your delivery address, please contact our customer care at managesubscription@sattwa.in or message us at +91-9717098516 and we will help you directly. Given our delivery only happens in selected locations, in some cases we may not be able to deliver to your new address. In such a case, we will refund your remaining subscription money.

Bulk order

Why isn't the full menu available for bulk order?

All the flavours in the "Available daily" section are available for the bulk order. Flavours from our "Weekly Menu" are available only on the specific day of the week. The website interface will accordingly show you the available flavours based on your selected delivery date.

What is the minimum quantity for bulk order?

At present, we require a minimum quantity of 20, across different flavors for the order to qualify as a bulk order.

Gift voucher

Is there a minimum order size for using Gift voucher?

There is no minimum order size when you are using a Gift voucher to buy a subscription/bulk order. However you must use the full value of gift voucher in a single transaction. You could also do so by purchasing multiple subscriptions at the same time.

What is the validity period of the gift voucher?

Gift vouchers are valid for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase.

Can I send a gift voucher directly to my friend?

Yes you can. At the time of your purchase, the gift voucher number is also given to you. You could mail the Gift voucher number directly to the person you want to gift. However, to ensure that the gift voucher reaches the recipient, we will also send the gift voucher to the recipient on the date you specified at the time of purchase.

The Juices

How should the juices be stored?

You should keep our juices chilled in the refrigerator at all time. We on our part, ensure that the bottle is refrigerated and also delivered in a temperature controlled environment to your house.

Why does my juice sometime separate into a lower dark denser part and an upper clear lighter part?

Separation in juices is a natural phenomenon (and we add NO artificial ingredients to stop the nature!). This happens because of varying densities of different fruits & veggies and settling of the fibrous part. Your juice remains unaffected by separation. So don't worry- just give your juice a gentle shake before drinking!

Why do I see some white at the bottom of the juice?

No reason to worry at all. If your juice contains spinach, ginger or aloevera, there may be some white at the bottom because of the Calcium rich nature of these juices. Such separation in these juices is natural and as we said- we add no artificial ingredients to stop the nature. Just give your juice a gentle shake before drinking!

Why is my juice tasting & looking slightly different from the last time I had it?

Ever seen two apple completely alike? Sattwa juices are 100% natural, and like all things natural, may vary slightly in taste from bottle to bottle.

I have heard we need to also have fibers and juices don't have any?

Whole fruits and vegetables have insoluble and soluble fiber. Both types of fiber are very important for colon health. It's true that we lose the insoluble fiber when we juice but soluble fiber is still present in juice in the form of gums and pectins.

However, we believe that no single food can take care of all your dietary needs. Juices are one of the best vitamin, mineral and phytonutrient sources you can get. You should complement them with other foods which contain other nutrients like insoluble fiber and proteins.

Can I freeze any of the Sattwa juices?

Sattwa juices can be frozen and can even be turned into amazing popsicles. However do remember that we fill our bottles to the brim and there may be some expansion on freezing- so it'd be better to use a bigger container for freezing. The frozen juices should still be consumed before the best before date.

Availability

When will your juices be available in my city?

At present, we are available in limited number of Indian cities. If you would want more information on when will we be launching in your city or want us to launch there earlier, do drop us a line on info@sattwa.in. We continuously look at customer requests to prioritize between new locations.

My society/building is not listed in the drop down menu? When will you be available here?

Given the way we deliver, we are only available in select locations in every city we are in. You can check whether you location is covered in our delivery area or not while buying the subscription. If you would want more information on when will we be launching in your society/building or want us to launch there earlier, do drop us a line on info@sattwa.in. We continuously look at customer requests to prioritize between new locations.

Payments

Can I make payments in cash?

Yes, you can choose the option for "collect cash from premise" while ordering online. Our customer care executives will get in touch with you. Please note that in such cases, the actual delivery of juices will start only after you make the cash payment.

When do I need to make a payment?

All payments need to be made before the first delivery. You can pay us online or ask our customer care executives to collect payment from your premises.

Refunds and cancellations

Can I cancel my subscription?

While we will hate to lose you, we understand that in some cases you may want to change or cancel an ongoing subscription because of a variety of reasons. Please email us at managesubscription@sattwa.in and we will get in touch with you. Please note that it may take us maximum of 2 days to enable the cancellation.

How will I be given refunds?

On cancellation of the subscription, charges for the already delivered products (till such time as the delivery is stopped as per the communication) will be applied at the full price for those products (without any discounts or promotions that may have been applied during payments) and the remaining amount refunded back to your original method of payment. You will receive the refund credit within a month, depending on your bank/card issuer's policies.
